Peterson served as design-build general contractor on The Corner at Fort Ben, a 14,700 SF mixed-use retail and restaurant development at 56th Street and Lee Road in Lawrence, Indiana for Foamcraft, Inc., a local Lawrence company bringing new commercial investment to the historic Fort Benjamin Harrison district.
The development features a collection of restaurant and retail spaces built around a shared rooftop common area with a fire pit, a drive-through along the west edge, and 86 parking spaces. Tenants include Post 23, an upscale Italian-American restaurant inspired by the history and character of Fort Benjamin Harrison; Tailwind Cafe, an aviation-themed coffee and ice cream concept; and Comfort Option, alongside additional retail spaces.
This project reflects Peterson’s design-build capability for mixed-use commercial developments, delivering restaurant and retail construction in community-focused urban infill settings.
