Indiana Steel Fabricating

Indianapolis, IN

Peterson served as general contractor on a two-phase expansion and renovation of Indiana Steel Fabricating, Inc.’s active manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, completing all work while the facility remained fully operational.

Phase 1 included construction of a new 8,000 SF precast warehouse addition and 3,000 SF of new office space, incorporating a kitchen and breakroom, bathrooms, and locker room facilities. Phase 2 consisted of a complete interior renovation of 8,000 SF across the first and second floors, including all office spaces, bathrooms, kitchens, and reception areas.

Managing construction within an active steel fabrication environment requires precise coordination between construction activities and ongoing manufacturing operations. Peterson’s ability to sequence work, maintain site safety, and protect operational continuity throughout both phases reflects the kind of execution that defines long-term contractor relationships.

This project reflects Peterson’s capability to deliver complex, multi-phase expansions and renovations in occupied industrial and manufacturing facilities, and represents a continued partnership with one of Indianapolis’s established steel fabrication operations.
